Some natural vegetable tanned leathers are very stiff, but this leather has a softer hand to it. It is a different leather than the natural vegetable tanned leather that I use to make the Plume Flap Wallets--which has a stiffer hand. All good quality leathers get better with use, but the patina the natural leather develops is definitely my personal favorite.
